What an adorable vintage reproduction print dress! This is a lovely, simply shaped, light, crisp dress. Splashes of hand embroidery embellish the collar and tabbed appliqué at center front of this precious vintage design. This high-yoke happy design features a collar with beautifully scalloped edges, lending the possibility of hand stitching and hand embroidery most befitting the era of the style. Most notable is the adorable blanket-stitching, which dramatically accentuates the daintiness of the hand embroidered flowers along the curved edges. The puffed sleeves display more embroidery upon contrasting handkerchief linen sleeve binding, and the keyhole opening in front adds tailoring to an otherwise frilly design. If the dress wasn’t enough, a simply precious sunhat finishes off the vintage feeling of this lovely ensemble. Every edge is bound in coordinating linen fabric, perfectly matching the collar and tabbed appliqué. The fabric of the dress is lovely Liberty of London (Edenham) that feels like liquid silk but in reality is the finest cotton lawn available. An easy dress to make, and the most delightful embroidery design imaginable.

The optional kit contains everything you need to complete the project in any of the three sizes, including Imported Liberty of London cotton lawn, Ulster Irish handkerchief linen, Cut bias strips in matching linen, one hook and eye closure, Medium Weight Fusible Interfacing, Floche in 4 colors (over 80 strands), and Wendy’s Embroidery Needles in two sizes.
