This class features two projects: one for a baby girl and one for a baby boy. You choose which one to make, but the materials are included for both in your kits. You will discover how easy it is to create the perfect Madeira Applique hem attached with a beautiful hand Point de Paris stitch. Other stitches include drawn thread hemstitch, Granitos, French knot flowers, Buttonhole scalloping, and satin dots. There is even a bit of closed herringbone stitch on the boy outfit.

The baby dress features a high yoke, which is embroidered with a cartouche style motif of French knots and drawn thread work. The adorable Peter Pan style collar features Madeira Applique accents and the tiniest buttonhole scalloped edge imaginable. The dainty puffed sleeves are edged with contrasting color bound armbands. The precious full skirt is hemmed with a wide constrasting band of Madeira Applique and embroidered fabric; A delight to the senses!

The 1930's style romper is precious with its elegantly shaped collar of contrasting fabric and buttonhole scalloped edging. The front of the romper is embellished with release tucks and hand embroidery techniques. A tiny penny pocket is attached to the front for busy baby boys who collect treasures. The straight shirt sleeves are edged with shaped hems in contrasting color fabric and the adorable full pant legs are edged in buttonhole scalloping.

Kit contains Ulster 1200 linen in white and blue, bias binding, tatting thread, piping string, Steam A Seam, Floche, buttons, needles, patterns, and detailed instructions. Note patterns and materials are included to make BOTH outfits.
