This precious project features ultra soft puffy appliqued chicks delicately arranged around the edges of this sweet coverlet. This lovely technique involves making little machine stitched and stuffed appliques of soft stretch terrycloth which are hand appliqued onto the base fabric, then embroidered with imported wool. Wool is lovely and soft and perfect for this application, as it wears well and works up quickly. The base of the coverlet is made of pretty imported silky cotton sateen, quilted by hand in the tradition of Sashiko, then further embellished with sweet wool embroidery. The lovely coverlet is interlined with soft flannel fabric and bordered with a large scalloped flange.

Kits contains white cotton sateen, yellow cotton sateen, cotton flannel, terrycloth, Wet N Gone, Appleton wool thread, sulky thread, poly fiberfill, needles, pattern, and detailed instructions.
