Your toddler boy will look utterly handsome in his tailored two-piece suit. With this lesson, the simplicity of drawn thread work is put to good use while providing a solution to embellishing boy garments with the approval of everyone, including Dad. Using drawn thread techniques, you will learn to attach tucks and create patterns with counted darning techniques. Discover how easy this popular needle art technique is to master. The lesson includes detailed instructions in Basic Hemstitching, Grid Hemstitching and Net Darning. This sweet suit features a white linen shirt with hemstitched tucks framing the buttoned front. The attached Peter Pan collar and cuffs are constructed of blue baby-lined pique and matching short pants are styled with a v-shape waistline and button-on straps. Two pockets made of white linen depict adorable bunny rabbits stitched with net darning hemstitching techniques. Porcelain bunny buttons carefully chosen to match are the fitting decorative touch to this very special outfit.

We have assembled an optional kit for you with this project. The kit contains everything you need to complete the project in Sizes 1, 2, or 4 including embroidery floss and fine hand sewing thread, needles, baby lined pique (blue), Ulster 1000 handkerchief linen, interfacing, mother of pearl shirt buttons, and bunny buttons!
