This delightful ensemble includes three pieces for a baby boy or girl wearing size 6 months. The bodice of the crisp white organdy gown is styled with a high yoke, and literally covered with hand embroidered eyelets of ecru thread. Precious puffed sleeves are generously gathered and bound with silk batiste. The full long skirt is hand embroidered with a myriad of flowers, shadow stitched then embellished with Granito dot centers and backstitched stems. The gathers of the skirt are held in place with rows of English smocking to match the fabrics perfectly. The hem is beautifully finished with a wide band of scalloped ivory silk, Madeira Appliqued and attached with Point de Paris stitch by machine, and edged with tatting. A matching Peter Pan collar is also edged with ecru tatting. The matching coat features a high yoke bodice and full gathered skirt which opens to the front. Attached to the neck edge is a round cape collar of matching fabric and embroidery. The cuffs are gently scalloped and edged with more tatting and embroidered eyelets.
