Pretty as a posy and sweet as a strawberry is your darling girl when she wears this little ensemble. The adorable vintage-style romper buttons asymmetrically in front, and sports straight legs that button in the crotch for ease in changing nappies. Cute little puffy sleeves are just perfect for little misses, but can be eliminated for warm weather wear. After all, little girls like to be fashionable and cool as well. The fabric of choice features delightful pink and red posies and diminutive strawberries on swirling vines. The playful print is made even cuter when paired with the contrasting pink fabric appliqués that are strategically placed along the yoke and hemline of the romper front. Stitched by hand, they represent how basic appliqué can really make a simple garment just a bit special. To add even more embellishment are cute clusters of embroidered French knot strawberries placed on top of the appliquéd flower motifs. The neck, legs, and sleeves are punctuated with edging in tiny contrasting bias binding. The jaunty cloche hat is made from the matching fabric and fully lined and structurally interfaced. Another appliqué flower adorns one side, and the sash tie is the perfect complement to this precious hat. I know you will love making this adorable set for your adored little lass.
